Patrick Collins

New York based artist Patrick Collins is both an accomplished musician and painter. He has studied music and art in Madrid, Paris and Manhattan, and lived in Vietnam, Greece, Yugoslavia, England, France and Spain. His highly refined work is a direct reflection of this multicultural upbringing and exposure to the great Masters of Art throughout history.

“Art is the freedom of movement and action to express the inner passions;  first building fields of color, then adding shapes after which the lines present themselves. I follow and direct those passions as they unfold. The process is very similar to a composer structuring a musical composition starting with a motif, then adding harmonies until a new path presents itself, like footsteps through the virgin snow.”
